Job Description:

  • An Azure Security Engineer, associated with the AZ-500 certification
  • Implementing Security Controls: They are responsible for setting up security measures to protect both data and operations within the Azure cloud environment.
  • Maintaining Security Posture: Regularly assessing and maintaining the organization's security stance within Azure is a key part of their duties.
  • Identifying and Remediating Vulnerabilities: They proactively seek out security weaknesses and take action to address them.
  • Threat Modelling: Azure Security Engineers perform threat modelling to anticipate potential security issues.
  • Implementing Threat Protection: They put in place systems to defend against threats to the Azure environment.
  • Security Incident Response: In the event of a security breach, they are involved in the response and remediation efforts.
  • Collaboration: They work alongside architects, administrators, and developers to ensure that security and compliance requirements are met.
  • The role requires practical experience in the administration of Microsoft Azure and hybrid environments, as well as a strong understanding of Azure Active Directory, compute, network, and storage in Azure
